A Brief Discussion on the Literary Landscape of Luoyang Longmen in the Poems of Tang Dynasty
Longmen,located in the southern suburb of Luoyang,a thousand-year-old imperial capital,has witnessed its rise and fall and is a famous historical and cultural landscape.Poets living in Tang Dynasty like SONG Zhiwen,LI Qiao,LI Bai,DU Fu,LI He,etc.,left behind masterpieces that sang about Longmen,thus construc-ting the literariness of Longmen landscape.Examining the writings about Longmen landscape in the Tang Dynasty,the writer found that the literariness was mainly expressed as the praise of the prosperous society in the early and the flourishing periods of the Tang Dynasty,and in the Mid-Tang Dynasty,BAI Juyi,on behalf,voiced the poets'am-bition of"personal moral uplift"and"benefiting the world".At the same time,Longmen,serving as a post sta-tion,was also a place of gathering and parting,and the poets'lament of farewell and frustrated official travel consti-tuted a literary theme.The unique style of Luoyang Longmen literariness in the Tang poetry provides a typical sam-ple for the study of Chinese geographical literature.
