A Study of Anti-Japanese Discourse in the May Day Memorial Text of Xinhua Daily During the Anti-Japanese War Period
During the all-round resistance war against Japan,the CPC,with the help of Xinhua Daily,published articles commemorating the May Day holiday,and formed a discourse system of resistance against Japan with rich connotations and distinctive characteristics.The Communist Party of China published a series of articles to promote the vanguard position of the working class in the fight against Japan and save the nation,highlighting the discourse of comprehensive resistance,exposing Japan's ambition to invade China,elucidating the importance of the national anti-Japanese united front,and emphasizing the necessity of international working class unity.The dissemination of anti-Japanese discourse further awakened the working class's awareness of resistance,established the most far-ran-ging anti-Japanese united front in the country,and strengthened the connection between China's anti-Japanese war and the world's anti-fascist struggle.
