A Study on the Impact of Carbon Trading Pilot Policy on Carbon Emissions Reduction and Green Transformation in the Power Industry
By selecting the inter-provincial panel data of 29 provinces from 2010 to 2019 and using a double differ-ence model,this paper conducts a series of robustness tests and mechanism analysis to empirically study carbon e-mission reduction and green transformation in the power industry.It is found that the decline trend of carbon emis-sions in the power industry in the pilot areas is more significant;Under the constraint of carbon quotas,the power industry will increase the installed capacity of new energy,and the low-carbon power generation structure will de-velop towards green transformation.Based on the test results and mechanism analysis,it is advised to promote the marketing and the support of carbon trading pilot policy and accelerate the green transformation of the power industry.
