On the Problems in Grain Supply for the Armies in the Anti-Japanese Revolutionary Base Area In the West of Henan Province
With the defeat of the Nationalist Party's troops in the military campaign in Henan Province during the re-sistance war against Japanese aggression,the middle and the western areas of Henan fell into Japanese occupation.The CPC central committee promptly launched the instruction of"Marching toward the rear area of the enemy".From September of 1944 till April of 1945,six troops of the Eighth Route Army crossed the Yellow River succes-sively and started to establish revolutionary bases in the western area of Henan against Japanese aggression.United as one and overcoming kinds of barriers,the CPC and the masses made joint efforts to build a complete rationing system in collecting,storing,delivering and distributing sufficient grain for the army to solve the problems of food supply in the extremely bitter and cruel war situation,which not only helped the army stand firm and keep expan-ding in power in the poor base area,but also accomplished the central committee's strategic plan of establishing revolutionary base area in the west of Henan Province.
