On the Thoughts of Compilation in LU Chaolin's Longmen Chronicle,Luoyang
Longmen Chronicle,Luoyang compiled by LU Chaolin,is the first local chronicle of Longmen with the author's name printed on it,and reproduces the historical appearance and cultural ecology of Longmen.LU Chaolin insisted on the principle of collecting poems of fine core that can be applied universally and pursuing elegance when quoting the literature,carrying forward the tradition of national history in selecting poems of feeling the elegance and observing the writing styles in the poems collected,on which LU Chaolin made a textual study and gave his comments.Longmen Chronicle,Luoyang reflects LU Chaolin's thoughts of literary criticism,an attempt to expand the style of textual research from classics to historiography in Qing Dynasty,and embodies the interaction between classics and historiography in late Qing Dynasty.
