A Study on the Reduction of Pollution and Carbon Emission Effects and Role Mechanisms of the Digital Economy in the Yangtze River Economic Belt——Based on the Analysis of Municipal Data
Based on the panel data of 104 prefecture-level and above cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2011 to 2021,a study is conducted,adopting the formula method to calculate the carbon emission intensity,the fixed effect model and mechanism test model to analyze the impact and mechanism of digital economy on reduction of pollution and carbon emission.At the same time,the synergistic effect model of reduction of pollution and carbon emission is constructed to explore the spatio-temporal evolution trend of the synergistic effect of reduction of pollu-tion and carbon emission in digital economy and the synergistic degree of reduction of pollution and carbon emission in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.The results indicate that the digital economy has a significant inhibitory effect on reduction of pollution and carbon emission of cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Digital economy can ex-ert effects on structural upgrading,technical innovation and public supervision to promote reduction of pollution and carbon emission;The digital economy can help promote the collaborative governance of reduction of pollution and carbon emission in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
