Identification and transcriptional expression analysis of CDPK gene family in Juglans regia L.
Calcium-dependent protein kinase(CDPK)plays an important role in plant re-sponse to stress. In this study,CDPK family members were identified using Hidden Markov Model(HMM)in the whole genome database of walnut. The structure of CDPK family members was ana-lyzed,and the transcription levels of CDPK family members were analyzed under cold stress and in different tissues. The results showed that the CDPK gene family contained 38 members, which were located on 14 chromosomes, with open reading frames ranging from 399 to 2181 bp,protein sizes ranging from 132 to 645 amino acids, and isoelectric points ranging from 5.34 to 9.14.Subcellular localization predicted that all 38 members were located in the nucleus.Transcriptional expression a-nalysis of fresh walnut after different time of cold stress revealed that JrCDPK4 showed a significant increasing trend and was highly expressed in roots and young leaves, suggesting that this gene might be involved in the response to cold stress and in the growth and development of roots and young leav-es.The results of this study laid a foundation for further research on the mechanism of this gene's response to cold stress.
