Growth performance of seedlings grafted with different apple varieties on Qingzhen No.1 rootstock
The introduced Qingzhen No.1 self-rooted rootstock container seedlings were culti-vated for 1 year.In spring,Qingzhen No.1 was used as the base stock,and grafted with 13 apple varieties,including Michela,Ruiyang,Ruixue,Qincui,Venus Gold,Yanfu 6,Yanfu 10,Yany-ou,Crystal Qinguan,Delicious,Zhongcheng 1,Luli,and Ruixianghong.The root and above-ground part of the dwarfed Qingzhen No.1 self-rooted rootstock apple seedlings were observed and researched.The results showed that the survival rate of Qingzhen No.1 self-rooted seedlings was high in Ningxia region,and the survival rate of 13 apple varieties seedlings grafted with Qingzhen No.1 dwarf self-rooted was also relatively high,with good compatibility,developed root system,strong branching ability,and robust growth.The quality grading of seedlings after one year of graft-ing cultivation has reached level 3 or above.
