Common slow-release fertilizers and elevated cultivation techniques for strawberry cultivation in Japan
The application methods and standards of three types of slow-release fertilizers com-monly used for strawberries in Japan were introduced,mainly including Super Eco-Long 424,Eco-Long Comprehensive 313 and Super SR Organic.Before planting,the substrate was plowed used an elevated specialized rotary tiller and the remaining roots in the substrate were crushed,and the slow-release fertilizers,Ca,Mg fertilizer,etc.were applied as base fertilizers,with 160 kg of En-vironmentally Friendly Long-term Comprehensive Fertilizer,40 kg of oyster shells,20 kg of granu-lar organic phosphorus,and 20 kg of Osmocote every 1 000 m2.The management techniques for ele-vated cultivation of strawberries were summarized.
