Effects of different rootstocks on the growth and development of Cabernet Sauvignon in Northern Xinjiang
The experiment introduced eight different varieties of rootstocks,followed by investi-gating and analyzing their survival rate during colonization and growth of branches,five rootstock va-rieties with good performance,3309M,SO4,5BB,110R,and 1103P,were selected.In June 2022,a grafting experiment was carried out using Cabernet Sauvignon as the scion to examine how different rootstocks affect its branch growth,leaf chlorophyll content,fruit quality,and overall eval-uation of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.The results indicated that grafting 1103P and 5BB onto Caber-net Sauvignon performed well and was suitable for promotion in Northern Xinjiang.
