Research on defect detection of wooden board specimen based on Lamb wave
The ultrasonic Lamb wave was used to inspect and study the external surface damage defects of wooden roof boarding specimens,in order to lay a certain foundation for the on-site nondestructive detection and evaluation of decaying damage of ancient architectural roof boarding based on Lamb wave.Larix wood,a common tree species in ancient buildings in Beijing, was used to process different degrees of damage defects on the specimens in the form of wood removal. The results showed that the maximum amplitude of Lamb wave signal increased with the increase of excitation frequency.Among the twelve excitation frequencies tried, the detection result obtained at 30 kHz is more stable. The maximum amplitude of Lamb wave signal decreases with the increase of defect severity, and the defect depth has a greater influence on Lamb wave signal than the defect length. The ultrasonic lamb wave detection method designed in this study can be used as the basis for further research on the decay damage detection of wooden planks based on lamb waves.
