Carbon footprint accounting and analysis of panel kitchen cabinets based on life cycle assessment method
Using the life cycle assessment method,we took three"L"shaped kitchen cabinets as examples to explore the carbon footprint of panel kitchen cabinet products. It was found that there are differences in the full life cycle car-bon emissions of panel kitchen cabinets. The full life cycle carbon footprint of domestic double-sided door panel kitchen cabinets is 1 002.204 kgCO2eq,single-sided acrylic door panel kitchen cabinets are 630.41 kgCO2eq,and domestic double-sided door panel kitchen cabinets are 621.346 kgCO2eq.The analysis shows that the main carbon e-missions of double-sided door panel kitchen cabinets come from the acquisition and processing of raw materials for the cabinet body and countertops, while the main carbon emissions of film-pressed door panels and single-sided a-crylic door panel kitchen cabinets include the raw material acquisition and processing of the cabinet body and coun-tertops,and hardware. The manufacturing and processing stages of cabinet doors.Further sensitivity analysis shows that 18 mm double-faced particle board, transportation links and various types of countertop stones have a greater impact on the carbon footprint.Based on the research results, carbon reduction suggestions for panel kitchen cabinet products are put forward, including selecting low-carbon footprint materials, reducing the use of imported counter-tops,considering the installation of solar panels, establishing a recycling chain for waste artificial boards and waste countertop stones, and improving product durability. At the same time, optimization suggestions were put forward for enterprises to add independent electricity meters for equipment, build a raw material carbon footprint statistics sys-tem,and mark product carbon footprint certification signs.
