A Study on Strategies to Enhance the Firefighting Operational Capabilities of Forest Fire Fighting Forces in the New Situation
In 2018,the Forest Fire Fighting Force of the People's Armed Police underwent reform and restructuring.Subsequently,the fire rescue force has emerged as a primary force and national team for emergency response in Chi-na,with significantly expanded rescue functions resulting in a twofold increase in mission execution.Consequently,it is facing numerous new challenges now.The forest firefighting force is an integral component of China's forest fire pre-vention and control system and serves as the principal entity for extinguishing and managing forest fires.It continues to play an exceedingly crucial role in combating forest fires.Currently,specialized teams are being strategically estab-lished at all operational levels based on disaster characteristics.Additionally,there is a focus on exploring new do-mains,acquiring fresh skills,and procuring advanced equipment to expedite the transformation and upgradation aimed at enhancing capabilities to meet the demands of"all-disaster types and large-scale"emergencies.As such,comprehensive implementation of the"four-sentence"policy holds significant importance for further augmenting Chi-na's comprehensive capacity for preventing and controlling forest and grassland fires while also bolstering the fire-fighting prowess of forest firefighting teams.This is particularly critical for effectively preempting major risks associat-ed with forest and grassland fires while safeguarding both public safety and national ecological security.
