Research on Practical Techniques for Drought Resistant Afforestation in Arid Areas of Northern China
The climate in Northern China is relatively arid,with some areas having less effective precipi-tation and low soil moisture content.It is difficult to achieve the goal of afforestation in one go using con-ventional afforestation techniques.In arid areas,it is necessary to adopt drought resistant afforestation techniques based on local climate and site conditions to improve the survival rate of afforestation.There-fore,summarizing the practical afforestation techniques in Northern arid areas from the selection of drought resistant tree species,land preparation techniques,afforestation techniques,and other aspects has practical guiding significance.
