Analysis of the Evaluation of Conservation and Management Effectiveness in 19 Nature Reserves in Hebei Province
Management evaluation of nature reserves is an important basis for improving the management level and capabilities of these areas.This study evaluates 19 nature reserves in Hebei Province using a scoring and grading method.The evaluation criteria include 19 indicators across four categories:basic as-surance,management work,conservation effectiveness,and negative list.The results show that the aver-age score of the 19 nature reserves is 90 points,with 84.2%of the reserves rated as Excellent.Among the individual indicators,the scoring rates for scientific research and monitoring,science popularization and education,personnel allocation,infrastructure,and boundary delineation were all below 90%,while the other 15 indicators scored above 90%,and the negative list scored 100%.The results indicate that the overall management status of nature reserves in Hebei Province is good,with significant conservation effectiveness.The main future improvement directions should focus on the rational allocation of person-nel,and strengthening the capacities of scientific research,monitoring,and science popularization and education.
