A screening experiment on insecticides against Heortia vitessoides Moore
The control techniques of Heortia vitessoides were studied in the laboratory by leaf-dipping method. The results showed that the 5.0 x 106 dilution of 1. 8% avermectins EC, 5. 0 x 106 dilution of 0. 5% emamectin benzoate microemul-sion, 800 dilution of Sendebao (the mixture of avermectin Bla and Bacillus thuringiensis) wettable powder, 5 000 dilution of 2. 5% spinosad suspensions, 20 000 dilution of 90% dipterex crystal, 3 000 dilution of 15% indoxacarb suspensions, and 1 000 dilution of 4. 5% beta-cypermethrin EC had significant effects on controlling the high instar larvae, and the lethality of all insecticides was reached 100%. The lethality of 4 000 dilution of 4. 5% beta-cypermethrin EC and 1 000 dilution of Sendebao WP to the low instar larvae was 100% and 97. 7% , respectively. In the forests the control effects of 5. 0 x 106 dilution of avermectins or emamectin benzoate and 1 000 dilution of Sendebao were reached 100% .
