Physical properties and the impact factors on soil under the bamboo forest in the South Sichuan Bamboo Forests area
The soil clay content, bulk density, porosity, capacity of holding water of variability in the surface soil layer (0-20 cm) and the deep soil layer (20-40 cm) and their correlations of soil under the bamboo forest in the Southern Sichuan Bamboo Forests area were studied, and the effects of altitude, soil type, litter depth and soil organic matter on the above mentioned properties were analyzed. The results showed that the soil physical properties variation coefficient was from 10.28% to 56.21%,which were the moderate variability. The total porosity,non-capillary porosity, capillary water capacity and maximum moisture capacity in the surface soil layer (0-20 cm) was significantly higher than that in the deep soil layer (20-40 cm),but the bulk density in the surface layer was significantly less than that in the deep layer. The physical factor between each layer presented the close relationship in the two layer, and basically this relationship didn' t change with the difference of the soil layer. The altitude and litter depth exerted the significant effects only on the properties in the surface layer, the organic matter siguificantly impacted on the soil physical properties in both layers.Meanwhile the soil type significantly influenced only on the bulk density and clay content in the two layer.
