Research status and suggestion on specification bamboo bonding interface
Bonding interface in bamboo composite materials plays an important role in material performance and service life. The purpose of this review was to make a comprehensive understanding of the interface research on specific bamboo sheet/adhesive, which would improve the study of the curve surface gluing of arc?bamboo recombining in original status ( A?BROS) materials. This paper analyzed the research status of bamboo surface properties and its treatment, modifica?tion of adhesive used in bamboo composite, the morphology and mechanical characterization of bamboo composites bond?ing interface that was made of specific bamboo sheets, and finally some suggestions based on the existing problems were put forward. Although the wetting property of bamboo surface treated by different physical and chemical methods were broadly investigated, the reports on the modification methods and types of adhesive used in the composite materials were limited. Usually, the interface consists of two flat surfaces and adhesive, and technologies used in the examination of in?terface performance research nowadays are helpful for the characterization of the micro properties of the bonding interface. However, the improved observation scale is needed to reflect the geometric characteristic of the interface as the curve in?terface could result in different transmission of stress and strain. In addition, the multi?dimensional device should be cou?pled to achieve multi?performance characterization instead of charactering the morphology and mechanical property sepa?rately.
