Forest fires occur frequently in Daxing'an Mountains of Inner Mongolia, and the study of its seasonal trend and spatial dynamic distribution characteristics of forest fires is of great significance for the division of forest fire pre-vention periods and the rational allocation of fire prevention resources.Mann-Kendall trend test and sliding t-test were used to analyze the trend and abrupt change of forest fire data in Daxing'an Mountains of Inner Mongolia from 1981 to 2018,and the quantile regression method was used to study the spatio-temporal factors affecting the burned area and finally obtained the spatio-temporal dynamic characteristics of forest fires in Daxing'an Mountains,Inner Mongolia,China. The results showed that the overall forest fires in Daxing'an Mountains of Inner Mongolia had a trend of first decreasing(from 1981 to 1999),then increasing(from 2000 to 2007)and then decreasing(from 2008 to 2018).Forest fires mainly occur in spring, summer and autumn. The changes of forest fires in spring are more complex, with obvious fluctuations, and an abrupt change occurred in 1991.Forest fires in autumn fluctuated more gently, but an ab-rupt change occurred in 1994.Forest fires increased significantly in summer during 2004-2011,the fire risk period was shifted and extended to summer, and there were fewer fires in winter. The burned area is positively correlated with fire duration, especially at high quantile points, with significant positive correlation.Forest fires in Daxing'an Mountains of Inner Mongolia mainly occurred in the Oroqen Autonomous Banner and other places. From the perspec-tive of spatial horizontal dynamic changes, the overall trend of forest fire is increasing from southwest to northeast. From the perspective of spatial vertical dynamic changes, the impact of altitude on the burned area is not significant. The findings in this study suggest that the forest fire monitoring and fire prevention publicity should be enhanced in the northeastern Daxing'an Mountains of Inner Mongolia and in the spring and summer, and properly adjusting the forest fire prevention period and allocation of fire prevention resources would help reduce the occurrence of forest fires in Daxing'an Mountains of Inner Mongolia in China.
