The Specific Application of PDA and GIS Technology Combined in the Survey of Forest Resource Planning and Design
In the past, the second-class survey of forest resources was mainly based on ground surveys, with heavy workload and cum-bersome procedures. At the same time, tables, graphs and cards were separated.During the survey,a large amount of attribute data and spatial data would be involved. The paper topographic map is collected, and the attribute data survey results are saved in the form of codes,so the data entry task in the industry is heavy, and the error rate in the work is high, and the data update is difficult, which is inconsistent with the current development of forestry resources management.Under the background of the continuous development of satellite technology, aerospace technology, and remote sensing digital image computer interpretation technology,3S integration technol-ogy based on GIS,RS,and GPS has been used in the field of forest resource planning, design and investigation due to its unique ad-vantages of high efficiency, speed, and low-cost science. It has been vigorously applied in the traditional work mode, which can make up for the insufficiency of the traditional work mode, and can better meet the characteristics of the regeneration, dynamic and vastness of forest resources.Under the background of the continuous development of modern information technology, the emergence of various powerful equipment has provided convenience for the application of advanced technology. The joint PDA and GIS technology to carry out forest resource planning and design investigation has become the focus of attention now, which can achieve work efficiency With the im-provement of quality, the management of forest resources will be more standardized. Therefore, this paper is devoted to exploring this aspect in combination with the actual work for reference.
