Our nursery is located in Hongbei Township,Caidian District,Wuhan City.A number of tufted crape myrtle and red plum were introduced as container seedlings in the spring of 2022.Fertilizer and water management and pest control play an important role in the health and rapid growth of container seedlings.This paper starts the discussion from container seedlings transplanting to our nurser-y,focusing on the effects of types,quantity and time of fertilization on seedling growth.It is found that container seedlings need nitro-gen,phosphorus and potassium content in different seasons.In the aspect of pest control,it was found that the mixture of methylvitamin and acetamiprid EC could obviously inhibit the damage of leaf beetles and leaf-eating pests of Lagerstroemia indica.Follow the plant protection policy of"prevention first and comprehensive control"as far as possible,and realize the high yield of container seedlings with minimum cost and optimal ecological benefit.
