Dalbergia odorifera is a member of the genus Pyrus in the butterfly family.Hainan province is the main place of origin and is mainly distributed in the western,southern,southwesternand Sanya provinces,at present in Guangdong,Fujian,Guangxi also have sporadic distribution.Tree height is usually 10～25 meters,a deciduous tree species,lateral branches strong,branch lower,bark rough crack,common color for Brown and light brown.The wood is hard and fine,so it is not suitable for deformation,so it is often used to make furniture.The research and application of introduction and cultivation techniques have significantly improved the cultivation level and growth rate of Dalbergia odorifera.In this paper,the biological characteristics,value,cultivation techniques and pest control of Dalbergia odorifera were summarized in order to provide reference for the future cultivation of Dalbergia odorifera.
