Health Assessment of A Forest Ecosystem Based on Resource Inventory Data
Forest health is an important aspect of sustainable forest management.Mastering the level of forest health and the causes of unhealthy forests can greatly promote the sustainable development of forest ecosystems. Therefore, the practical significance of forest e-cosystem health assessment is increasingly prominent. This article uses spatial analysis techniques of Geographic Information Systems(GIS)and local forest resource inventory data to evaluate the health status of a certain forest ecosystem.A comprehensive indicator sys-tem has been established to reflect the forest health status in the research area.On the basis of this indicator system, the health level of each forest partition in the study area was evaluated. The research results show that high-quality forests(80.4 hectares)and healthy forests(2671 hectares)only account for 23.5%of the total area of a certain forest. At the same time, approximately 60.5%of a certain forest is in a sub healthy state.Due to over two-thirds of a forest being in a sub healthy or unhealthy state,it is urgent for a forest re-search area to take effective measures to improve forest health.
