The Effect of Different Drought Levels on the Growth of Yunnan Pine
Objective To analyze the effects of different degrees of drought on the growth of Yunnan pine.Method:Take Yunnan pine seedlings that are in good condition, free from pests and diseases, and have a consistent growth trend.Under artificial intervention, set up four groups of drought severity:mild drought, moderate drought, severe drought, and control group.Compare the effects of different drought severity on the growth characteristics, osmotic regulatory substances, and photosynthetic characteristics of Yunnan pine.Result 1)Growth characteristics:With the intensification of drought stress, the growth status of Yunnan pine gradually deteriorates, and its plant height and diameter show a decreasing trend. There is a significant difference between the severe drought<moderate drought<mild drought and the control group(P<0.05);2)Regulating substances:The higher the degree of drought, the higher the content of solu-ble sugars, proline, and soluble proteins.Severe drought>moderate drought>mild drought>control group(P<0.05);3)Photosynthetic rate and transpiration rate:There was no difference in photosynthetic rate between the control group and mild drought group(P>0.05),but significantly higher than moderate drought and severe drought group(P<0.05);The transpiration rate gradually decreases with the intensification of drought, with the control group>mild drought>moderate drought>severe drought, and there is a difference between the groups(P>0.05).The conclusion is that drought will greatly affect the growth of Yunnan pine. The results show that the intensification of drought will affect the growth of Yunnan pine seedlings, reduce the photosynthetic rate and transpiration rate of leaves, and increase the content of soluble sugar, proline, and soluble protein. This indicates that increasing the content of soluble sugar, proline, and solu-ble protein can enhance the drought resistance of plants and protect the vitality of Yunnan pine root systems,Reduce the impact of drought stress on plants.
