Plant haploid production methods include chemical induction and pollen mother cell culture.This technology has advantages in plant breeding,which can quickly produce breeding materials,solve the problem of sterility,and enrich genetic diversity.However,its applications are also controversial,with issues such as biosafety and reduced genetic diversity.Transgenic breeding technology can further change the genetic characteristics of plants by modifying genes,so as to improve their growth rate,wood quality and insect re-sistance.However,the technology also has risks that need to be evaluated.In general,these techniques have achieved some results in forestry breeding.
