The National Reserve Forest project of Weining County was included in the National Reserve Forest Construction Plan(2018-2035)and the National Reserve Forest Planning and Construction of Guizhou Province(2018-2035)in 2019,and the project con-struction was planned and implemented gradually from 2020,with a total area of 22,700 hm2,among which:Intensive plantation culti-vation of 0.9600 hm2,existing forest cultivation of 0.85hm2,young and medium forest management of 0.11 million hm2,economic for-est of 0.35 million hm2,the project is under construction.This paper aims to discuss the opportunities and favorable conditions for the construction of national reserve forest in Weining County,and puts forward specific countermeasures from the aspects of project scientif-ic planning,tree species selection,wood base production mode and project financing mode.
