Flower border has become a common way of landscape construction in grassland urban construction,which can greatly im-prove the quality of ecological landscape and livable level of grassland urban.This paper investigated nearly 300 flower borders in Ho-hhot City from 2020 to 2023,and found that there were 132 works involving ecological themes in the design of flower borders,account-ing for 44%of all the works.Nearly 126 species of flowers and plants were used in the flower borders,involving 41 families and 104 genera of herbaceous plants.There were 75 species of flower with good character performance and high promotion value in Hohhot.Dyed bark,gravel,pottery,volcanic rock,garden pieces,landscape stone and garden waste resources have been widely used in the con-struction of flower borders in recent years due to their unique advantages.This paper analyzes the expenditure index of various expenses in the construction of flower border,so as to provide valuable reference index and experience for the construction of flower border in the cities of Northwest China.
