The Application of Greening Plants in the Full Element Design of Urban Road Space——Case Study on Greening of Qilian Mountain Road in Baoshan District,Shanghai
With the progress of the times,urban roads have developed rapidly,and road widening has become the norm.On the other hand,people have further requirements for the spatial needs of urban roads.The original form of urban road space has been tested.How to balance the needs of vehicle and pedestrian traffic in urban road space,and how to coordinate the relationship between people's leis-ure and transportation,are issues that need to be considered.On this basis,the concept of building a"quality oriented"and"all ele-ment"urban garden ecological landscape road design has emerged.The full element design of urban road space includes several parts,including road surface systems(motor vehicle lanes,non motor vehicle lanes,sidewalks),urban furniture,green plants,building fa-cades,front wheel drive spaces,underground pipelines,etc.Green plants,as living individuals,play an important role in the overall spatial elements.This article explores the role of green plants in the road space of the full element landscape through a case study of road greening on Qilian Mountain Road in Baoshan District,Shanghai.
