Experimental Analysis of Effects of Garden Compost as Organic Fertilizer on Plant Growth and Soil Fertility
The effects of garden compost as organic fertilizer on plant growth and soil fertility were analyzed to provide technical support for plant healthy growth. In this study,a sample plot in Guanfenghai Town,Weining County,Guizhou Province was selected for exper-imental analysis.A total of 4 groups were set up,among which the farmland soil and forest land were CK group, which were divided into Z1 group,Z2 group and Z3 group according to the addition gradient of garden compost, adding 10%,20%and 30%of garden compost, respectively,to study the effects of different gradients of garden compost on plant growth and soil fertility. The results showed that the growth of Z2 group on 7d,14d,21d and 28d was better than the other three groups. The G value and strong seedling index of Z1,Z2 and Z3 groups were higher than those of CK group(P<0.05),the root volume, root length and stem diameter of Z2 group were higher than those of the other three groups(P<0.05),and the indexes of Z2 treatment were the best. The indexes of total nitrogen,to-tal phosphorus, total potassium, available nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium in Z2 group were higher than those in the other three groups(P<0.05),and there was no difference between total phosphorus, total potassium and Z3 group(P>0.05).The treatment effect of Z2 group was the best. After adding garden compost, the soil bulk density and pH value gradually decreased, and the porosity, water content and organic matter were increased. Therefore,in the cultivation of garden plants in Guanfenghai Town,Weining County,Guizhou province, garden compost,as an organic fertilizer, can improve the physical properties of the soil.Adding 20%garden compost in the soil is conducive to plant growth, nutrient status is improved, and soil fertility is increased.Comprehensive evaluation and analysis show that Z2 group has the best treatment effect.
