Effects of Different Forest Tending Measures on Soil of Red Cone Forest
Objective:To analyze the effects of different forest tendingmeasures on soil of red cone forest. Methods:The study was car-ried out in Hongzhi forest planting base of Longyan Cave Forest Farm in Guangdong Province.Forest areas with slow slope and healthy growth were selected in the experimental base, and different forest tending measures were carried out in the growing baseincluding CK group without any treatment,Z1 group with shoveling grass,Z2 group with fertilization, and Z3 group with shoveling grass+fertiliza-tion.The effects of different forest tending measures on Hongzhi forest soilwerecompared. Results The pH value, organic matter, total nitrogen, total phosphorus,totalpotassium,alkali-hydrolyzed nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium in Z3 group were higher than those in Z2,Z1 and CK groups,wistatisticalsignificance(P<0.05).The pH value, organic matter, total potassium,alka-li-hydrolyzed nitrogen and available potassium in Z2 group were higher than those in Z1 and CK groups(P<0.05),but there was no difference in total nitrogen, total phosphorus and available phosphorus between Z1 group and Z1 group(P>0.05).The mechanical quality, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, total potassium,alkali-hydrolytic nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium of Z1 group were higher than those of CK group(P<0.05),while the pH value of Z3 group was not different from that of CK group(P>0.05).In general,Z3group>Z2 group>Z1 group>CK group. The water content of 0~20 cm,20~40 cm,40~60 cm 0 and 60~80 cm soil layers in Z3 group was different(P<0.05),and the soil moisture content of Z3 group was stratified obviously. The water content of dif-ferent soil layers in CK group,Z1 group and Z2 group had the same proportion, and there was no statistical difference(P>0.05).After dif-ferent groups were treated with different forests, the total amount of N,P and K runoff water and runoff sediment in Z3 group was lower than that in Z2,Z1 and CK groups, and the comparison was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The soil composition and nutrient con-tent of the soil can be improved and the growth of the red forest can be promoted by the method of shoveling and fertilizing.
