Forest and grassland resources are crucial ecological and carbon sequestration resources in China,playing an essential role in reaching the"dual carbon"targets.This paper examines the present state of conservation,existing problems,and challenges faced by China's forest and grassland resources.Strategies for protecting these resources under the"dual carbon"goals are proposed,encom-passing:enhancing the spatial distribution structure of forest and grassland resources;carrying out precise enhancement projects to im-prove forest quality;intensifying resource protection comprehensively;and refining the carbon sink accounting and trading mechanisms for forests and grasslands.
