The overthrow of imperialism was the primary goal of the National Revolution.In the early days,the Communist Party of China(CPC)used The Guide Weekly as its main front to widely disseminate anti-imperialist and patriotic ideas to the Chinese people,and persistently carried out anti-imperialist publicity.In the early days of its publication,The Guide Weekly criticized imperialism,thus promoting national-communist cooperation and establishing its original anti-imperialist purpose.After the start of the Great Revolution,The Guide Weekly discussed the Chinese people's anti-imperialist strategy from the perspectives of national alliance based on national-communist cooperation and international alliance based on alliance with Russia,thus promoting the development of the Great Revolution.As the history of the Great Revolution evolved,the anti-imperialist publicity of The Guide Weekly also underwent a shift from moderate to radical,and finally called on the Chinese people to complete the national revolution.With its fine tradition of adhering to the Party's leadership,its policy of serving the revolution,and its rich and varied columns,The Guide Weekly became an important front for the CPC's early anti-imperialist publicity.
