Qingdao's rich and diverse historical and cultural heritage,with its long history and numerous talented individuals,abundant literature,prosperous imperial examinations,flourishing Taoism and arts,and in-depth communication between the East and the West,has unfortunately not been widely known by the society as a whole.Local universities in Qingdao play a crucial role in inheriting and promoting this splendid historical and cultural legacy.By fully utilizing the expertise of teachers in historical and cultural research,it is conducive to further exploring Qingdao's historical and cultural heritage and forming a cultural identity among various social groups which will help the retention of talents.Additionally,unleashing the potential of local college students in the inheritance and promotion of Qingdao's historical and cultural heritage is essential in cultivating talents who can tell the story of Qingdao to the entire nation and the world.The publicity and culture departments of Qingdao should formulate a comprehensive plan for the inheritance and promotion of Qingdao's historical and cultural heritage in universities,while the local universities themselves should implement specific measures accordingly.Close coordination among relevant departments,such as the culture and tourism departments,is necessary to ensure the joint efforts in promoting Qingdao's historical and cultural heritage in local universities.
