Based on data from the China Household Finance Survey(CHFS),the impact of rural land transfer on the income mobility of farming households was studied using the Logit model and income transition matrix, and robustness tests and heterogeneity analyses were conducted. The results show that:(1)Overall,the behavior of rural land transfer has an adverse effect on the income mobility of farming households;(2)Specifically,the behavior of land acquisition has a certain promotional effect on the income mobility of farming households, but the behavior of land transfer out has a strong inhibitory effect on the income mobility of farming households, with the latter far outweighing the former.(3)The impact of rural land transfer on the income mobility of farming households has gender heterogeneity and regional heterogeneity, with the eastern region and male-headed households participating in rural land transfer having an adverse effect on their family income mobility. Therefore, when formulating policies related to agricultural land transfer, the government should take into account the interests of both the transferor and the transferor, implement policies tailored to the local and household needs, provide differentiated policy support for farmers of different income groups, and reduce the adverse impact of agricultural land transfer on the income mobility of farmers through appropriate policy combinations.
