Measurement of Resource Allocation Efficiency and Analysis of Influencing Factors in China's Logistics Hub Cities——Inspiration for Qingdao to Build an International Gateway and Hub City
Qingdao City,Shandong Province,as one of the 20 national logistics hub cities in China, has been planning to build an international gateway hub city with high standards in recent years in order to enhance the city's capability and promote high-quality development. This paper evaluates the resource allocation efficiency of 20 logistics hub cities in China with the help of DEA-Malmquist model. It is found that the resource allocation efficiency of China's logistics hub cities shows an upward trend, but the driving force of technological progress on economic development is still insufficient.Qingdao,as a port-type logistics hub city, its resource allocation efficiency is non-DEA effective and the level of resource allocation is not high. Then, through the random effect Tobit model to explore the influencing factors, the transportation construction, the strength of logistics industry, the scale of tourism, and the degree of opening up to the outside world all have a significant impact on the city's resource allocation efficiency. In the future,Qingdao should make efforts to build an international gateway and hub city in five aspects:exerting the driving force of technological innovation, promoting the high-quality development of the transportation industry, constructing the efficient logistics system of"four ports"of sea, land, air and iron, promoting the high-quality development of tourism, and focusing on the construction of an open platform for cooperation.
