This paper aims to explore the spread of pavilion calligraphy in Liping area of Guizhou province in the Qing Dynasty.Pavilion calligraphy occupies a very important position in the calligraphy system of the Qing Dynasty.In the middle period of the Qing Dynasty,the society got increasingly stable,and the educational and cultural causes in Guizhou developed rapidly and gradually integrated with the educational system in the mainland.In this process,in order to meet the requirements of the imperial examination,the official education became the main way to spread the pavilion style calligraphy.The local intellectuals who were born under the imperial examination system became the main group of people to spread the pavilion style calligraphy.As one of the main ways of cultural inheritance,the family learning source is also an important factor in the spread of pavilion style calligraphy.In the Qingshui River basin at that time,the education in Liping area was relatively developed,talents emerged one after another,and family learning flourished,which was conducive to the spread of pavilion calligraphy.Meanwhile,the spread of pavilion style calligraphy also had an impact on the political and cultural development of Liping area to some extent.
