Study on the Control Effect of Bacillus velezensis XS142 Against the Soil-borne Diseases of Sunflower
To validate the biocontrol potential of Bacillus velezensis XS142,its influence on sunflower growth and control effects against sunflower white mold,Verticillium wilt and Fusarium wilt were tested under indoor conditions. The results showed that in the plate confrontation experiments, the antibacterial rate of XS142 strain against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum was 58.68%,the antibacterial rate against Fusarium oxysporum was 40.11%,and the antibacterial rate against Verticillium dahliae was 53.98%.The im-mersion of sunflower seeds in the bacterial suspension of XS142 did not affect the germination of the seeds, and the application of the suspension to the roots also did not affect the growth of sunflower seedlings. The control effects of XS142 suspension applied on isolated leaves and sprayed stalk treatment on S.scle-rotiorum were 70.52%and 77.43%,respectively.The control effects of root irrigation against sunflower white mold,Verticillium wilt, and Fusarium wilt were 32.32%,30.79%and 59.35%,respectively.To-gether,B.velezensis XS142 demonstrates potential to control soil-borne diseases of sunflower.
