Ant Hill·Space-time·Negentropy:Technological Myths of Smart Cities in the Anthropocene—Logic as an Example
The technology-empowered smart cities have greatly improved the efficiency of urban operation and facilitated the lives of citizens. However, there are also endogenous defects that need philosophical reflection.Ap-plying Stiegler's philosophy of technology, this paper analyzes the smart city and clarifies that this urban form is a fully automated society with algorithmic governance as the core which deprives people of their thinking ability through intelligent technology and causes human alienation and systematic stupidity.Stiegler regards urban evolu-tion as the concretization and discretization of writing and the externalization of knowledge, and demonstrates the mutual construction relationship between technology and human beings. As an external organ, the city is manifested as the paradox of natural inverse entropy and digital capitalist entropy increase in the Anthropocene, and it is nec-essary to carry out negentropy knowledge production with the contributive economy advocated by Stigler. The con-struction of the smart city calls for the return of"people"and the fresh civilized practice of citizens.Only by repla-cing the current urban digitality with digital urbanity can human beings move towards the"new smart city".
