New Understanding of"Meta"in"Metaverse":New Life Picture and Capital Declaration
Several explanations such as"original","external","after"and"beyond"for the prefix"meta"of"metaverse"are not actually appropriate."Meta"cannot be explained purely semantically because it is an ac-tive choice of capital."Meta"literally means that metaverse contains interconnected things,but in fact it aims to attract the public to enter the metaverse world by beautifying the image of metaverse and promoting the new lifestyle provided by metaverse.This indicates the purposes of capital:on the one hand,it is to cover up the negative im-pact of capital and its current unfavorable situation in the real world;on the other hand,it is to use metaverse to open up a new more secretive and attractive path for the proliferation and expansion of capital.Therefore,"Meta"presents two meanings:the preview of the new life picture from the perspective of function and the declaration of capital marching into the new world from the perspective of reason.
