Artistic Characteristics and Literary Value of Eight-scenery Poems of Xi County
The112 eight-scenery poems in local chronicles of Xixian County located in the southeast of Henan Province written during the Ming and Qing Dynasties involve 27 poets and 10 poetic topics.In terms of artistic char-acteristics,these poems are featured with rich allusions,neat antithesis,and diverse artistic expressive forms.They also highlight unique regional characteristics displaying the natural and cultural scenery and landscape in Xi Coun-ty.In terms of literary value,these poems reflect harmony between man and nature and the sense of historical vicis-situdes,and present unique regional literary value and aesthetic implication.At the same time,these poems have played a unique role in preserving the literary works of writers in Xixian County and studying the local literary gene-alogy.
