The Stairway of Poetics,a poetic work with complete styles and detailed discussion in the Ming Dy-nasty,involves all aspects of poetry creation.Influenced by Taige literature,the authors held the basic poetic posi-tion to worship poetics of the Tang Dynasty and suppress poetics of the Song Dynasty.Thus The Stairway of Poetics reflects the Confucian scholars'logic in construction of poetry history in the early Ming Dynasty and presents obvi-ous tendency towards Confucian literary.The Stairway of Poetics embodies the paths and patterns of learning poetry from three aspects.In terms of evaluation,the authors focused on the classification in similar poetic styles in the past dynasties rather than the analysis on internal differences.In terms of outlook of proposition,the authors re-quired accurate propositions within the category of"purity".In terms of attitude towards learning poetry,the au-thors advocated careful scrutiny and long-term persistence.
