Southward Migration Life and Native Land Writing of Poet Li Chuquan from Xijing Luoyang in the Song Dynasties
Li Chuquan,a poet of Xijing Luoyang in the Song Dynasties, was born in a aristocratic family, and presented the typical temperament and personality of the literati of Xijing Luoyang as well as the strong affection for native land.At the turn from the Northern Song Dynasty to the Southern Song Dynasty,Li Chuquan's southward mi-gration life was full of hardships. The strong contrast between the difficult migration life and the homey life at home-town in memory contributed to the poet's nostalgia for his hometown. In his poems,Li Chuquan described the liv-ing conditions of the southward migration and expressed the deep pain owing to leaving his hometown. Thus this kind of homeland sentiment and homesickness became the theme of poetry that echoed throughout his wandering journey in the later half of his life.At the same time,in the poems,he expressed his deep affection for his home-town and his eagerness to return the native land. These works typically reflect the individual life, destiny change and spiritual pain of southward-migrating literati during the great changes at the turn of the Song Dynasties.
