Integration of Confucian Tactics and Confucianism in the Western Han Dynasty from the Perspective of Citing Confucian Classics in Imperial Edicts
Confucian tactics gradually merged with Confucianism in the middle and late Western Han dynasty.The imperial edicts often quoted Confucian classics as the foundation to formulate policies for governing the country,and put on the coat of Confucianism for the Han ideological system integrating laws with Confucianism.Thus,Con-fucian classics became the direct theoretical sources of imperial edicts,and all national policies reflected Confucian-ism.
