Analysis on Spatial and Temporal Characteristics of Tourism Flow in Guilin City Based on Digital Footprint
The researchers explored the temporal and spatial characteristics of tourism flows in Guilin City from 2012 to 2019 with data collected from online travel notes from Mafengwo Tourism Network.The results show three findings.Firstly,the tourism flow presents obvious seasonal characteristics in terms of time,but the seasonal char-acteristics tend to weaken.Secondly,the tourism flow in Guilin presents mainly a"northwest-southeast"trend in terms of direction,showing a spatial distribution pattern of"two cores,four-level hierarchy,uneven distribution,and high aggregation".Lastly,the tourism flow network structure shows characteristics such as uneven distribution of node strength,structural holes,and large differences in the competitiveness of internal nodes.Finally,the re-searchers propose corresponding solutions for the disadvantages in the tourism industry brought by the spatial and temporal characteristics.
