Marx understood things as relational objects composed of relations,formulated the fundamental cat-egory of relations of production in historical materialism,and analyzed the four connotations of relations of produc-tion.Firstly,as the"distinct"relations of production,the concept refers to Marx's in-depth examination of the re-lationship between capital and labor to interpret the essence of capitalist relations of production.Secondly,as the"historical"relations of production,the concept means that Marx went deep into the accumulation,circulation and economic crisis of capital to explain the non-permanence of capitalist relations of production.Thirdly,as the"eco-nomical"relations of production,the concept refers to Marx's grasp of the formation process of capitalist relations of production from the social relations of production.Finally,as the"holistic"relations of production,the concept means regarding relations of production as an organic entirety.The four connotations of Marx's category of relations of production are of great significance for us to understand many issues such as common prosperity.
