The pre-Qin Confucians profoundly revealed the significance of"courage"in shaping and maintai-ning the order and principles of social ethics(namely,propriety and justice),revealed the different natures,levels and realms of"courage",and distinguished"courage of the blood","courage of the virtue"and"courage of the justice".It is of great significance to cultivate and practice the core socialist values,especially to shape the modern civilization of the Chinese nation by reassessing the moral status of"courage"and deeply excavating and interpre-ting the"courage"culture in fine traditional Chinese culture.
