Group Image Analysis on Founding Generals and Influence of Upholding Righteousness Culture in West Fujian
In the late 1920s and early 1930s,under the leadership of the CPC,the people of West Fujian carried out a vigorous land revolution struggle,established Soviet political power,established people's armed forces,and defended the fruits of the land revolution.The young men of west Fujian actively participated in the military and war,forming the"Five Armies"and being promoted to be the Central Red Army.These troops grew into a new type of people's army under the guidance of the spirit of the Gutian Conference.Between 1955 and 1965,seventy-one persons from west Fujian were awarded the rank of Major General or above in the Chinese People's Liberation Army.Throughout the military performance experience of founding generals from west Fujian,most of them were engaged in political mobilization,the Party affairs in government agencies,and technical services.This phenomenon of"political workers"has a profound Hakka cultural heritage,a deep-rooted concept of"upholding righteousness"that has existed since the ancient times,and its display of patriotism and dedication to the world,the family style of valuing literature and education to honor ancestors,and the pragmatic style of not being empty talk and focusing on practical work,which have had an important impact on the growth of founding generals from west Fujian.
