In the dialect of Shashi,Liuyang,Hunan Province,"Da"has rich parts of speech and can be used as a dynamic auxiliary,modal particle and preposition,or as an affix.The monosyllabic"Da"can be used as a preposition,but the disyllabic"A Da"is more commonly used as a preposition.The word"Ku Da"is very distinctive and can be used as a verb,adverb and preposition.Compared with"Ku"in Liuyang Hakka dialect,"Ku Da"has richer semantics.The"Da"in the disyllabic preposition"A Da"and"Ku Da"are both affixes,both of which are"Da"affixes.In addition,"Da"is also used in Changsha dialect,which is similar to"Da"in Liuyang Shashi dialect.
