Over the past decade,there has been significant development in the research on the phenomenon of fictive motion from the initial cross-linguistic comparative studies to the recent emergence of the research focusing on the essence of the phenomenon within Chinese language and cognitive domain.The research topics include judgment of Chinese fictive motion expressions,description of conceptual elements characteristics and encoding forms,analysis of the nature of Chinese fictive motion discourse,and cognitive interpretations from various perspectives.However,the fundamental issue of the judgment of Chinese fictive motion expressions has not yet been clarified,and most of the analysis is based on written language.In the future,it is necessary to expand the research field of fictive motion phenomena,as well as the research perspective and promote the interdisciplinary research.
