An Empirical Study on Influence of International Cooperative Production of Chinese Films on Export Box Office
With the acceleration of economic globalization,international cooperation in film production has gradually become an important way of world economic cooperation and cultural exchange.In recent years,the Chinese film industry has developed rapidly,and expanding the scale of film exports can not only promote economic development,but also promote the achievement of China's goal of building a cultural power.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the impact of international cooperative production of Chinese films on the box office of exported films.Using 400 films exported from China from 2000 to 2019 as a sample,this study explores the impact of international cooperative production on the box office of Chinese exported films and its transmission mechanism.Research has shown that international cooperative production can significantly promote the box office of Chinese exported films through three mechanisms:cultural identity,export concentration,and international reputation.Based on this,it is recommended to strengthen international cooperation in film production,pay attention to the integration of diverse cultures in film co-production,control the concentration of film exports,choose internationally renowned movie stars,thereby improving the box office of Chinese exported films and promoting the international high-quality dissemination of Chinese culture.
